A Fire Station Birthday Party
For many children, a birthday party at the fire station is memorable for many, many years. Children love to visit the fire station, and the firefighters love to have visitors.
The Leander Fire Department is happy to open the doors of Central Fire Station for your child's birthday party. We have tables and chairs to accommodate the group, and enough space to let the children run off a little excess excitement. If you are interested in having your child's birthday party at the station, please read and understand the guidelines, and then complete the online request form to secure your date.
Guidelines
- Birthday parties are held only at Central Fire Station
- Birthday parties are available for residents of the City of Leander only
- Central Fire Station is only available to host birthday parties on 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month
- Birthday parties at the fire station are not available on major holidays
- Two parties per Saturday is all we are currently able to accommodate; one at 10:00 AM and one at 2:00 PM
- Please complete your request a minimum of two weeks prior to the day you are requesting
- Parties are requested to last no longer than an hour and thirty minutes
- The department can assist with some supplies such as tables, chairs, and a small ice machine. Party favors, cakes, and food for the children are supplied by the parents; not the department
- Although we will do our best to help meet any of your requests such as fire truck tours and station tours, we do ask that you supply enough adults to help supervise the children. The fire station remains in service during the party and, as such, will sometimes have to leave to respond to an emergency
- Sparky the Fire Dog is available to visit with the children depending on availability of firefighters. Should you be interested in having Sparky stop by, be sure to complete your request as early as possible. You can never book the fire station too early
- Should you need to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible
The family atmosphere and community spirit of Leander are alive and well at your local fire station, and we are very happy to be able to help you make your child's birthday a lifetime memory for them.
To reserve your preferred date and time, follow these simple steps:
- Check the availability of your chosen day on our Community Calendar - If you see parties scheduled for that date and time, please still submit a form. Although the parties are first come, first served and subject to availability, there is always the possibility that the family that has the day booked may need to cancel the event.
